What do you need to know to build with Flagler Habitat for Humanity

Flagler Habitat for Humanity relies on volunteer labor to build simple, decent and affordable homes.

 

Hundreds of skilled and unskilled volunteers have the opportunity to learn about and undertake activities such as demolition,
framing, drywall, painting and trim work.

What you need to know on build day:
  • Flagler Habitat for Humanity builds on Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • (all volunteers should be onsite and ready to go by 8 a.m.)
  • Each day is started with a prayer, review of the day's goals and safety tips
  • All tools and materials, along with water and sunblock are provided by Flagler Habitat for Humanity.
  • Please bring snacks and lunch.
  • Close toe shoes with a thick sole are required.
  • Please wear clothing that is comfortable to work in, inside and out.
